The Holstee Manifesto Lifecycle

The Holstee Manifesto Lifecycle Video from Holstee on Vimeo.

The Holstee Manifesto is a call to action to live a life full of intention, creativity, passion, and community.

The LifeCycle Film came about as a desire to bring the energy and passion behind the Manifesto to life through something we love--biking. As we seek to live mindful lifestyles that leave a positive impact on the people and world around us, biking has become a passion that is much more than a transportation alternative. It is a way of fully experiencing the city we love and all of its details.

This Film is a celebration. It is a celebration of gatherings, of diversity, of life, and of the beauty of shared experience. We hope you enjoy.

Time Drisdelle !

Tim Drisdelle, ripe old age of 5, honed his skills like so many before him, pounding away the hours in front of the family piano. Although in Tim’s case, it probably didn’t hinder his creative inspiration any by having a view of Nova Scotia’s dramatic rocky shores, just outside his window.Tim, now dubbed “Timo” by close friends, began to emerge as a prolific Singer-Songwriter.

Culture Shifts and Brands - Tom LaForge, Coca Cola

"Over the last several decades the relationships between companies, governments, civil society and the environment have been shifting dramatically. As a result, the roles of consumers, brands, marketers and companies have shifted in ways that many companies have yet to recognize. Listen to Tom LaForge, Director of Knowledge & Insights at Coca-Cola, describe 8 macroforces affecting society and culture, how business values are changing, the four roles of the new consumer, and the rise of the social construction roles that some brands have always, or are now beginning to play." - http://www.sustainablebrands.com/digital_learning/event-video/culture-shifts-and-brands-tom-laforge-coca-cola

Brand and Storytelling

…maybe instead of thinking about your story differs from the competition, think about how your brand story reflects your effort and how that it turn will inspire the consumer to make an effort and in turn elevate their personal story. - Popsop-Brand and Social Storytelling: Getting an “A” for Effort

The Way We Look at Brand-Wolff Olins

During Brand New Conference on Sep 16, 2011 Marina Willer from Wolff Olins shared great stuff about a brand. Here's one of 'em.

Another Weekend Coming UP!

I recently reading a book by Seth Godin, 'small is the new big' and have a great words I'd love to share and open up a little bit of what you might have been known so far.

'Velocity is a company's ability to zig and zag and zoom--to make significant changes when significant changes are necessary. And you can have velocity without speed: Driving around in circles may make your speedometer look impressive, but it won't get you across the country very fast' - Seth Godin.

Simple Jack

Think like a child, full of innocence and dreams.

One must always start solving a problem with a positive mind set. Believe you can do it and very likely you will. And even if you don't, it won't be for lack of trying.

Obsess for success and you'll complete the journey because you've decided to win, right from the start.

Effective leaders facilitate their people to perform, love and accept them as good people and trust them to deliver good performance.

Try these new 5Cs --- commitment, compassion, creativity, courage and cohesion. Volunteering is one of the most fulfilling and spiritually rewarding things we can do.

Buy all that you eed and little of what you want.

Treasure the relationships with people. Ultimately, it's about love, trust and safety. Nobody listens to someone they cannot trust.

We all make mistakes --- everyday. So does every organization. Mistakes is part of learning and experimentation. Having zero mistakes may mean zero innovation.

One who never make mistakes the whole year round probably never learns anything, or hardly takes risks, or is simply good at covering up his faults!

Taking full ownership and commitment of a venture is the guarantee of success.

Love every moment, treasure all relationships, enjoy all the experiences, be kind to yourself, and achieve all these by being as simple as you can be.

Your Idea

“Treat your idea as a hypothesis that needs rigorous testing, and treat the emails as people who are happy for you to get in touch to discuss your product idea further in order to validate that it would solve a real problem for them and that they might actually pay. I don’t think the idea of having a conversation with the people who give you their email comes into the minds of new start-up founders enough.” - Joel Gascoigne
