Journeys in Life ~

"Often the greatest journeys in life are those that weren't on the itinerary."

Samuel Bacote

Weekennddd ~

Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.... You don't have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is your day to draw attention to your power to change your community and your world for the better through Fair Trade. Together, we can improve the lives of small producers, farmers and artisans, around the world.

These are the list of events happening worldwide

Help to spread the message around the world, change your consumption patterns, and attend a World Fair Trade Day event on May 8th, 2010.

Every Morning

Quoted from John Hope Bryant's Site

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest Lion or it will be killed.

…Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle…

When the sun comes up, you’d better be running!”

* I Quilt *

Another stuff to share ~

When you've had enough, can't tolerate your job any longer and are ready to quit, perhaps you could try one last thing.

Quilt instead.

You've got nothing to lose, right? I mean, you're going to quit anyway, so what's the worst that could happen to you?

So quilt. Spend hours every day integrating the people you work with into a cohesive group. Weave in your customers as well. Take every scrap, even the people you don't like, and sew them together. Spend far less time than you should on the 'real' work and instead focus on creating genuine connections with the people you work with. Including your boss. After all, once you quit, you're never going to see them again anyway, right? Might as well give it a try.

Careful... it might change everything.

Banksy's Exit Through The Gift Shop

In an extended five minute teaser for the film released today, Banksy for the first time sets up the film's storyline.

Until today, the only footage online was the trailer which intentionally makes it clear that Banksy doesn't want to give too of the film's storyline away

Banksy says in the clip: "The film is the story of what happens when his guy tried to make a documentary about me but he was a lot more interesting than I am, so the film is now kinda about him."

That guy is a French filmmaker named Terry Guetta. What happens to him in the film is a true case in which truth is stranger than fiction.

The film opens in cinemas across the United States beginning April 16th. For exact cities and theaters check the film's official website here.
